Welcome Address

On behalf of the greater community in Japan dedicated the Digital Earth enterprise, it is my honor to host the 5th Digital Earth Summit, November 9-11 in Nagoya, Japan. International Digital Earth Applied Science Research Center (IDEAS), Chubu University and Digital Earth community of Japan are fully committed to providing a world-class venue for continuing the tradition of bringing together nations and institutions of the world for the purpose of sharing the accomplishments in applying advanced technologies and information to the goal of sustainable living on the planet. This 5th Summit will focus on ESD (Education for Sustainable Development), i.e., what Digital Earth can contribute for ESD. It will be a side-event of the UNESCO World Conference on ESD, End of the Decade Meeting, Nagoya, Japan.

Call for Papers

Digital Earth Summit is a place where all researchers, practitioners and citizens meet and exchange their views and opinions every two years for focused topics. The 5th Digital Earth Summit is focusing into Digital Earth for ESD and encourage related papers. We also welcome papers other Digital Earth related topics such as Citizen Science, Digital Earth Infrastructure, Big Data, Visualization, Scientific Communication, UAV, Disaster Management, Environment, Agriculture, City Planning, and etc.

Digital Earth for ESD:
Digital Earth for sustainable society and future earth.
Systems thinking, critical thinking for global issues.
Integrated, holistic approach by geospatial information science.
Environment, and disaster education.
Carrier development.

The abstract content is limited up to 1000 words. After filling the form and submission, you will be able to confirm your abstract in PDF format.

The international program committee call for abstracts for post-deadline submission. The purpose of post deadline papers is to give participants the opportunity to hear new and significant material since the deadline of normal abstract submission.
